This project’s genuine hero was the open landscape towards the Mosel valley. I had the joy of collaborating with a private landowner in Kapenaker to transform an old farmhouse site into a modern home and business with flower fields. Emphasis on facilitation rather than design resulted in lasting, affordable solutions and material recycling. Architects Topotek 1 (Zurich, Berlin) and Siegle Christophory (Luxembourg) redesigned the farmhouse, blending contemporary living with its historic character. In May 2025, the owner, landscape gardener Johannes Heide and I led a garden course and workshop, planting a dry garden with long-lived, drought-resistant perennials.​
